* 일시 : 2022.06.14(화), 16:30~18:00 * 장소 : 팔달관 1025호 * 강연자 : 좌훈승 교수(DGIST) * 제목 : 다중 DNN 실시간 추론을 위한 실시간 스케줄링 프레임워크 * Abstract : 최근 들어 딥러닝 기반 인공지능 기술이 자율주행차, 드론, 로봇, AR/VR, 스마트 팩토리 같은 임베디드 시스템을 활용하는 다양한 분야에 혁신적 변화를 가져오고 있다. 예를 들어, 테슬라 (Tesla)는 주변 환경 인지 및 자율 제어를 위해 다수의 심층신경망 (DNN)들을 처리함으로써 높은 수준의 상용 반자율주행 기능 (Autopilot)을 제공한다. 자율주행차, 드론, 스마트 팩토리 등의 안전중시 시스템에서는 딥러닝 작업에서 추론 (inference) 과정의 수행 시간이 제한된 시간 (마감 시간) 안에 완료되어야 하는 실시간성 보장이 반드시 요구된다. 특히 고속으로 이동하는 것을 목적으로 하는 자율주행차의 경우, 딥러닝 기반 보행자 검출 과정이 정해진 시간 내에 결과를 내지 못하면 우버 자율주행차 충돌사고와 같은 치명적인 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 본 세미나에서는 다중 DNN 실시간 추론을 위한 멀티 컴퓨팅 자원 동적 할당 기술과 실시간 스케줄링 프레임워크 개발에 대한 내용을 다룬다. 이를 통해, 고성능 AI 임베디드 보드의 다양한 컴퓨팅 자원을 효과적으로 활용하여 1) 실시간성을 보장함과 동시에 2) 전체 작업 처리량을 늘려 자원 효율성을 획기적으로 높일 수 있다.* Bio : Hoon Sung Chwa received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from KAIST, Daejeon, South Korea, in 2009, 2011, and 2016, respectively, all in computer science. He is an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, DGIST, Daegu, South Korea. He has been a Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, until 2018. His current research interests include system design and analysis with timing guarantees and resource management in real-time embedded systems and cyber-physical systems.
