A "Ajou Easy Donation" kiosk opening event was held on January 2, 2023 to welcome the new year. The event was held in the lobby of Yeonam Hall, where the kiosk is installed, in the afternoon.

Ajou University President Choi Ki-ju, Vice President of Academic Affairs Kim Kyung-rye, President of the Faculty Association Park Man-gyu, and President of the Student Council Lee Hyo-seong, as well as many Ajou families participated. School Foundation Executive Director Kim Sun-yong also attended. Lee Seok-won, head of the university development team, served as the MC.

The donation kiosk introduced this time is a new platform for the expansion of sharing, and anyone can easily donate through card payment. The amount of donation is 10,000 won, 30,000 won, 50,000 won, and 100,000 won. The school plans to use the funds collected through the kiosk donation to support the urgent livelihood of Ajou University students. It is planned to use it in units of 100 million won as a fund for the "Emergency Livelihood Support Scholarship" for students in difficult situations. The school is currently installing three donation kiosks in the lobby of Yeonam Hall, and plans to expand them to all Ajou University buildings in the future. The installation is scheduled for Yulgok Hall, Yeonam Hall, and the Central Library in the first place.

Meanwhile, on this day, the university development office also held an event to present the Ajou University 50th Anniversary Special Edition badge. This badge was specially made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Ajou University, and it is planned to be presented to donors, including high-value donors in the future.

President Choi Ki-ju said, "We want to take the lead in helping students who are in unexpected difficulties. We want to spread the culture of sharing through various activities and programs in the future."

2023년 새해를 맞아 <아주 손쉬운 기부> 키오스크 오픈 행사가 개최됐다. 행사는 1월 2일 오후 키오스크가 설치되어 있는 연암관 로비에서 열렸다.

아주대학교 최기주 총장가 김경랴 교무부총장, 박만규 교수회 의장, 이효성 총학생회장을 비롯한 많은 아주가족이 참여했다. 학교법인 김선용 상임이사도 함께했다. 이석원 대학발전팀장이 사회를 맡았다.

이번에 도입한 기부 키오스크는 나눔의 확산을 위한 새로운 플랫폼으로, 누구나 신속 편리하게 카드 결제를 통해 기부를 실천할 수 있다. 기부 가능한 금액은 1만원, 3만원, 5만원, 10만원이다. 학교는 키오스크 기부를 통해 모인 기금을 아주대학교 학생들의 긴급 생계 지원을 위한 사용할 예정이다. 어려운 상황에 처한 학생들을 위한 '긴급생계지원장학'의 재원으로, 100만원 단위로 활용할 계획이다. 현재 연암관 로비에 3대 설치되어 있는 기부 키오스크를 학교는 앞으로 아주대학교 모든 건물에 확대 설치할 예정이다. 우선 율곡관, 연암관, 중앙도서관에 설치가 예정되어 있다.

한편 이날 행사에서 대학발전본부는 아주대 50주년 스페셜 에디션 배지 증정 행사도 진행했다. 이 배지는 아주대 개교 50주년을 맞이하여 특별히 제작된 것으로, 앞으로 고액 기부자를 비롯한 기부자들에게 선물할 계획이다.

최기주 총장은 "예상치 못한 어려움에 처한 학생들을 위해 학교기 먼저 적극적으로 나서 도움을 주고자 한다"며 "앞으로 다양한 활동과 프로그램을 통해 나눔의 문화를 확산시키고 싶다"고 밝혔다.
